Musical Works by Women

"Die Namen der Komponistinnen unseres Jahrhunderts passen auf ein Rosenblatt" (Robert Schumann). Works from women are found scarcely in the repertoires of the grand concert halls. Hence the Camerata Europaea devotes one of her concert series to the works of woman-composers in Europe. The first program contains works from Clara Schumann (1819–1896), Fanny Hensel, née Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1805–1847), Lili Boulanger (1893–1918), Violeta Dinescu (*1953).
