The Program highlights the element rhythm as an identity-generatig feature of traditional music in Greece and Cyprus. The works of the contemporary composers Nicos Vihas (Cy), Savvas Savva (Cy), Minas Borboudakis (Gr), Periklis Koukos (Gr)und Giorgios Kyriakakis (Gr) are contrasted with the Concertino Op. 27 b of Berthold Hummel and the sounds of the mainland.
